How is this possible? June is basically over!
What I should be doing right now is baking, but I need to let the butter soften some more. I should be resting, because I've had a massive migraine the past two days (this weather is killing me!). We leave early tomorrow morning for my sister's wedding in Oklahoma, and I'm making the cupcakes and wedding cake. I should be working on those or resting.
However, I've neglected this space for what seems to be so long due to teaching and masters coursework, that I want to get back in the habit of regular posting.
June was an incredibly fast month!
Masters courses began and ended.
I delivered my capstone presentation--more on that in another post.
I'm four weeks, a major exam, and internship reflection away from being totally finished with my degree.
My youngest sister is getting married.
I'll turn 39 this weekend. Holy shit! This doesn't feel old. I don't feel old. It's like I blinked and became almost middle aged.
I should be baking!
Is it strange I really miss my students from this year?
Did I mention they nominated me for an award/recognition, and I received it? One of only four teachers on our high school staff. I'll double check and post about it, if I didn't already.
I'm ready to have more free time to devote back to my family. Mitch and Gab have dealt with an absent wife/mom a lot this past year. I'm ready to get back to our normal routine.
I can't believe June is over.
This summer is flying by, and ushering in some possibly big changes for our little family. More on that to come.
If you're still reading, thanks for sticking around. Here's the attempt at more regular posting. Here's to July and what the second half of the year has in store for us!
