If I can get my dead butt out of bed in the morning, I'm going to spend some time around sunrise working on a new project.
Each year, the school puts on a fundraiser that involves an auction. For last year's auction I painted a huge Tiger Eyes painting. This year, I plan on donating a series of framed photographs of Jefferson City icons. There is so much history in this town, and I'm looking forward to documenting it from my point of view.
My plan is to run out tomorrow around sunrise and get some shots of the capitol, downtown, Central Diary, among others. I loved the sunrise photo shoot I did at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs and would love to have similar local images. I have gobs of sunset photos, but few at sunrise. I am really looking forward to looking at my city through the lens and from a different perspective.
This project should result in three or four images that truly represent our town. I'll share them here after I've captured them. In the meantime, here are two more time lapse photos I took last month. They are nothing spectacular, but I like them.
