This past Saturday night was the school fundraiser for which I was working on the photography project. I donated four framed photos to the silent auction.
I was mostly pleased with how they turned out, but there's always room for improvement. Here they are in the order I would hang them below.
I took this of our downtown sidewalk on a rainy Sunday morning. The rain broke just long enough for Mitch and I to run out and snap this shot.
This was taken the same rainy morning as the downtown photo. The funny thing about this Jefferson City icon, I tried to shoot it early one sunny morning but the light hitting the white brick was too harsh. In the muted light of this rainy day, the beauty of the building and its colors really shine.
Here are some of the ones I didn't use for the project, but plan to use for other things.
The historic Missouri State Penitentiary site. My intent is to take one of their photography tours with Mitch for a date afternoon/evening idea. I've toured the closed prison with a group but not with a camera and more individually. This is on our "to do" list this spring.
You guessed it, that same Saturday. The light was just amazing! This is the iron railing surrounding the grounds of our state's Governor's Mansion. It's a beautiful old building with some lovely features. I liked the perspective of this shot.
